FAQ

Is there good public transport?

There are bus stops adjacent to Cannock Mill and two Colchester railway stations (Colchester Town and Hythe) within a mile, plus the main Colchester station which is a 15 minute bus ride away. . Frequent buses connect us to the centre of Colchester (and beyond that the main railway station), the University, the nearby villages of Wivenhoe and Rowhedge (which lie on opposite banks of the river Colne), Mersea Island and coastal towns such as Clacton and Frinton.

Colchester itself is a major transport interchange with frequent rail services to London Liverpool Street (in as little as 45 minutes), Ipswich and Norwich and a bus link to Stansted Airport.
