Two-bed flat in newly converted Miller’s house
We are delighted that the conversion of our Victorian miller’s house into three two-bedroom flats is now complete.
Maximum energy efficiency was the goal and the flats have achieved air tightness standards comparable with the rest of the Passivhaus houses on our site. Solar panels have been installed and, to ensure a tight thermal envelope in each flat, old floors/ceilings have been replaced with fully insulated ones and the external walls given extra internal layers. Great care has been taken to make sure that the new wooden double-glazed windows and doors matched the original style of the building. This all means that the air source heat pumps and mechanical ventilation and heating systems can work at peak efficiency.
These images give a flavour of the beautifully converted, light-filled flats. One of these flats is currently available.
