20 September 2026 Colchester Heritage Open Day, 1.30 to 4pm

Venue: Cannock Mill Cohousing

Cannock Mill is an historic watermill converted for use as the hub of our cohousing community whilst retaining some original features. The mill was used at different times for both grinding corn and as a fulling mill. An early mill featured in maps in 1311 and was completely rebuilt in 1845 as “an overshot mill fed by three iron pipes from an embanked pond”. This is a rare opportunity to visit and have a guided tour of the attractive mill and our grounds. No advance booking is required – just turn up on 20 September and come to the desk in front of the mill. Cannock Mill, Old Heath Road, Colchester CO2 8AA
