FAQ

How much does it cost to move into Cannock Mill?

When you buy an eco home at Cannock Mill you also buy the right to be part of a supportive community, with its beautiful common house and extensive grounds, which is all reflected in the price.

As at Spring 2024, prices ranged from around £260,000 for a one-bedroom flat up to £750,000 for our largest houses. These prices were initially based on building cost and are now set by a formula linked to the local housing price index.

Our largest houses have integrated garages and other homes have parking spaces. Our three-storey common house, as well as having a kitchen, dining room and living room that can accommodate the whole group, gives everyone access to two guest bedrooms and a large laundry/utility/craft space as well as a secure bike store and shared equipment storage.

Service charges are decided by the community to meet buildings insurance and other annual maintenance costs as well as eventual long-term repairs. Leaseholders therefore do not have to insure the fabric of their homes individually. Charges are allocated to homes in proportion to size, starting at approx £1,600pa for a one-bedroom flat.
