FAQ

What is the common house for?

The common house is a place that belongs to all of us and is used for a variety of purposes.

The top floor is a comfortable lounge area used for informal meetings, music, games and other social activities.

The middle floor comprises a kitchen and dining room which is big enough for the whole community to cook and eat together. It is also used for meetings and informal gatherings. Externally, a large decked area compliments this space.

The ground floor has two guest bedrooms and bathrooms and a ‘utility room’ which has a shared laundry area and is available for crafts or as an overflow meeting room.

Beneath the adjoining flats there is an ‘undercroft’ that houses a shared bike store as well as garage space.

An adjoining lift makes all common house floors accessible and also provides step free access to flats 1 to 4 from our front car park. There are accessible toilets on two floors.
